Setting Up Your New Account
Yes—everyone will need to set up new accounts. Our old system will not be available to use, starting later this month.
Note: If you are under 18, please have a parent or guardian set up their own account and add you as a dependent.
You will need an email account in order to set up your online account. If you don’t have access to email, please give us a call—this doesn’t mean you can’t sign up for Parks and Recreation activities, passes, etc.! It just means we’ll need to register you in person or by phone, and you won’t be able to get into your account to make adjustments yourself. If you are worried about this, please call us at (805) 564-5418.
Yes; be sure to provide your full home address, including ZIP Code, so the new system can determine whether you are eligible for the resident discount.
No; if you’re over 18, just set up your own account, then add your other family members to that account. We will have instructions available soon, but we think you’ll find the process to be quick and easy—and certainly easier than it was on our own system.
Existing Registrations for Camps, Programs, and Activities or Facility Reservations
Don’t worry; you don’t have to do anything if you’ve already signed up for something. We’ve gone through the old system and transferred these upcoming registrations and reservations over to the new system.
We recommend you create your account online as soon as you can even though your registrations have been transferred, as we need new and updated information in order to register for future programs and services.

New Registrations: Camps and Activities
Starting on March 21, 2018, our summer camps and spring/summer activities will be open for registration. The new online system is much more user-friendly than our old system, but we will post and send out walk-through instructions for you before registration opens (sign up at bit.ly/LoveParksAndRec to receive our email updates, or check SantaBarbaraCA.gov/ParksAndRec for posted news).
New Reservations: Indoor Venues, Picnic Sites, Etc.
To rent a venue or reserve a picnic site, please set up your new participant account at cityofsantabarbara.perfectmind.com, then call us at (805) 564-5418. Online rentals and reservations are not available.
Your current pass is good, and you’ll be able to purchase your swim pass online or at Los Baños with the new system. One benefit of this is that your pass will be valid for 30 days after you purchase it (unlike now, when you might buy a pass halfway through a month but can only use it until the end of the month).

No. Our pricing, refund and cancellation policies are the same on the new system.
As always, our prices can only be raised by the Santa Barbara City Council—and even then, that only happens once a year for almost all of our prices. So, most prices will stay the same until the end of August 2018.

Summer camp registration starts on March 21, 2018.
We can set up payment plans for indoor venue rentals but we are not able to offer payment plans for activities and camps at this time. We are, however, looking into this option in response to feedback from our participants.
Camp Refund Policy
Refunds will be granted based on the amount of notice provided prior to the commencement of a summer camp.
If you cancel more than seven (7) days in advance of the start of camp: Entire camp fee is refunded, less a $25 administration fee.
If you cancel seven (7) or fewer days in advance of the start of camp: A $25 camp processing fee will be charged, and the remaining balance can be processed as follows:
Option A: Remaining balance will remain on your Client Profile available for future use within Parks and Recreation.
Option B: 50% of the camp fee will be refunded to the original purchase card, if purchased using a credit/debit card or via check, if cash or check payment was made.
If you cancel after camp has started: No refund will be provided.
Medical Reason for Cancellation
If Participant has a medical emergency or becomes ill, please let us know as soon as you can, if this will affect participation in registered activity. A Medical Note from a Doctor may be required to provide a refund. If Participant is unable to transfer to future date activity, a $25 camp processing fee will be deducted from the refund.

This will replace our old “eRecreation” email address for questions, although emails to the old address will be forwarded to the new one, so don’t worry.
